A NINE-STRONG team of super-fit athletes are preparing to tackle the Paris Marathon. Colin Hayes and Heath Arnfield, who

work at Kemple 'View Hospital, Langho, along with Alwyn Woodhead, Michael and Leanne Patton, Terri Moore, Natasha Arnfield and Brian and Linda Frost, will slip on their running shoes next month and pound the streets of Paris for a good cause. The route will take the group along the

historic River Seine and by world-famous sites such as the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, Arc-de-Triumph and the Lou vre. The team is no stranger to running

long-distance races and successfully com pleted the London and Berlin marathons last year. This year the runners are hoping to

raise as much money as possible for Kib ble Valley/White Rose Ladies - an organ isation, which has been fund-raising since 1998 for research into children’s cancer for Cancer Research UK. One of the main organisers of the race,

Colin is looking forward to the challenge. He said: “We are continuing to stretch, ourselves for this charity, which is very close to our hearts. “All nine of us are looking forward to

running the race in Pans and boosting funds for a deserving charity.” Anyone interested in sponsoring the

team is asked to call Mrs Karen Weaving on 01756 700100. Our picture shows Colin, senior nursing
