A CRACKER of an evening was had at Brookside Primary School during its annual Christ­ mas fair. More than 300 people attend­


ed the Pickwick-style extrava­ ganza, which raised more than £1,000 for school funds. Organised by Friends of the


School, this was no ordinary traditional Christmas fair - in fact, it could be described as quite bizarre. Held outside the school building, pupils took it in turns to be put in the stocks

FESTIVE cheer was spread at Pendle Primary School during its Christmas Fair. Stalls were set up in the


school hall for visiting parents to peruse home-made cakes and Christmas gifts. Other a t tra c t io n s were a


chocolate tombola, nail paint­ ing, card games and treasure hunts. Father Christmas also paid a


visit and presented each child \yith a gift. More than 100 people attend­
