i n Jackpot casino night
A CROWD of lucky hopefuls headed towards the bright lights of Sab- den for a charity casino night. Held at the church hall,
'-*yWegas fever was alive and well among the village, tvith guests enjoying a gam ble or two! Mrs Jacqui Ashton, of
Sabden, organised the pro fessional evening which raised nearly £2,000 for the
village play park trust. It featured roulette, blackjack and dice and guests also won a variety of prizes in the end-of-evening auction. Mrs Ashton, who is one
of seven mums who fund raise for the trust, said the evening was a great success enjoyed by all ages. She said: “It was a fan
tastic night and a lot of fun. “The, response' we received from the villagers
was overwhelming and I would just like to express my thanks to everyone who supported the event and gave donations.” The trust, which is rais
ing funds towards the refur bishment of the park, aims to raise £24,000 for the Whalley Road facility. Our picture shows Mrs
Ashton with guests at the casino night in Sabden. (S100605/4)
