Whereas the 1.3 would make 60 m.p.h. in 15.8 seconds, the smaller engine slices over a second off, stopping the watch at 14.5 seconds. The combined fuel economy figure of 45.6 m.p.g. remains unchanged, but CO2 emissions creep up slightly to 148g/km. Being replaced by an engine
from the past seems something of a humiliation, but the Fiesta 1.25 is a better car than the 1.3, prices have stayed the same and British buyers should be happy.
