Copies of the Order and plan, together with a Statement explaining why the Order has been made, have been placed, and may be seen free ol charge, during office liours, at the offices of the Ribble Valley Borough Council, - Council Offices, Church Walk, Clitheroe, and at my offices, where they may be seen, free of charge, during normal office hours. NOTICE IS H ER EB Y GIVEN that on the 10lh May, 2005, Lancashire County Council made the above Traffic Regulation order under Section 84(1 )(a) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to introduce a length ol 40mph speed limit on A671 Whalley Road, Read, replacing the existing National Speed Limit lor a distance of approximately 600 metres from the existing 30mph transition point west of George Lane to a point 80 metres west of its junction with the access road to Dunkirk Farm Caravan park. Further, from this point the Order will also introduce a 50mph speed limit lor a distance of approximately 1,830 metres to the signalised junction with A680 Whatley Road at Portfield Bar.
