If you’re thinking of setting up a new money making o r fund raising venture a relative may make a better business partner than you think; just be sure to handle things in a professional manner and put your agreement down in black and white. Don’t count on people keeping their promises this week, particularly those you don’t know all that well. If the situation is important enough it will be better to get all agreements in writing and have them witnessed. Younger people can be demanding and are likely to be asking for the latest trendy gizmos and gadgets on the market. Don t give in if it doesn t make sense to you. and if pester power continues, suggest ways they can earn the extra casli to help pay for it themselves.

There is a restless feeling around you now that is hard to shake, but you can ease it a bit by being gentle with yourself and looking after your health. So often your attention goes to other people or work projects and you overlook your own needs. Make a special place for yourself if you don’t already have one and fill it with things you love like artwork, books, pleasant fabrics and aromas. Having a private retreat ready to welcome you at the end of the day helps keep a stress- inducing world at bay.

When you look in the mirror you’ll see you’re looking particularly tasty at the moment This aura of attractiveness puts you in the mood to buy some eye-catching new tops, accessories o r stunning aromas. You’ll have good luck if you visit boutiques or antiques shops, as these are more likely to have lovely unique items that will really turn heads. Someone who’s been ill is hoping to see you; if you definitely can’t go, send a greeting card and follow it up with a phone call.

Clitheroe Advertiser & Times, January 6th, 2005 5 Countdown to Scout group debut by Duncan Smith
m o n t h s of planning and a series of special “taster” events have culminated in the establishment of the 1st
Clitheroe Scout Group. The new group, which will
have its first meeting next Tues day, January 11th, is a joint venture between the Clitheroe Scout District and Clitheroe’s Medina Islamic Education Centre. Several local children from
Muslim, Christian and non faith backgrounds have already been recruited through the suc cessful taster events. The move comes as both
Clitheroe Scout District and MIEC collectively reaffirmed the commitment of their organ isations to providing better opportunities for local youth. Both groups have previously
expressed a strong desire to help Kibble Valley children from dif ferent race and faith back grounds to unite through play and activity and the formation of the new group is seen as a welcome realisation of those objectives. Earlier this year an initial
event was held at Trinity Com munity Centre, in Clitheroe, where members of Kibchester and Whalley Scout Groups wel comed Muslim children from the Clitheroe-based MIEC, an Islamic education centre which also works to encourage pro gressive ties between Muslims and the wider community. More taster sessions followed
in Kibchester and at Bowley Scout Camp, where the children got to know one another and took part in team building exer
cises. The children enjoyed them
selves thoroughly and expressed a desire to get involved in future
activities. Glen Fendall, District Com
