A HONEYMOON in Madeira followed the wedding of Mr Christopher Riley and Miss Rachel Dixon. Married at Mitton Hall, in Whalley, the
couple invited harpist Anna Christiensan to play during the service. The bride, a staff nurse a t Blackburn
Royal Infirmary, is the eldest daughter of Dr and Mrs John H. Duran, of West Bradford. The bridegroom, a support worker at Calderstones, is the son of Ms J. Allen, of
Blackburn. Given away by her father, the bride wore
a cream silk beaded gown ivith an organza wrap. She carried a bouquet of pink gerbera. She was attended by her daughters, Eliza
beth and Isobel Brennan, who wore cream silk ballerina-length dresses, with embroi dered pink flowers. They both carried flower circlets with pink carnations, feathers and
pearls. Best man was the bridegroom’s brother,

cer programmes at FC Dallas, is the son of Mr Howard Bradshaw, of Chatburn, and the late Mrs Jennifer Bradshaw. Given away by her father, the bride wore an ivory satin gown, with a fitted basque

its contribution to the local com
munity. The leading businessman has
been granted the prestigious Ambassador Award, as part of business in the Community’s National Awards for Excellence. The award was presented to
Mr Booth by his Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales. Mr Booth was full of praise for owners Mr and Mrs Mike and
Karen Haworth, for their use of
local suppliers. “I t is good to see companies
such as the Cobbled Corner sup porting local producers, not only for the business, but the rural economy,” he said. The husband and wife team,
who recently revamped their cafe bar and bistro, try wherever pos sible to source their produce from nearby farms and local suppliers.

issued by Insp. Bob Ford, of Clitheroe police, follow ing the theft of two detec tors from vehicles parked in the Ribble Valley. The s tate-of -the-art

place on the evening of last Monday, between 6-30 and 7-30 p.m.when a Mercedes parked in York Street, Clitheroe, was burgled and a £330 detector stolen.. Insp. Ford, is urging
