MEMBERS and friends of the Royal British Legion will set out on a six-mile cross-country walk on Sunday. The Chatburn and District
branch of the RBL is holding its annual sponsored walk to raise funds for the Poppy Appeal. All members and friends are
welcome to take p a r t and should meet a t St P au l’s
Church, Low Moor, Clitheroe, this Sunday, August 29th, at 9- 45 a.m. The scenic route will take walkers along the River Ribble and around Waddington, where people can enjoy a picnic or pub lunch, whichever they prefer. Anyone wanting details about

IN a lunchtime concert a t Knowle Green, the violin duo of Gerald Grego ry and Jenny Chang played music by four composers. 'Two violins present a composer with
the problem of similar voices with the same range. Wienaiwski wrote his Etude Caprice
using one player for the melody and the other for a ground of modified arpeg gios. There was lots of eye-contact between the players and often a hint of asmUe. For Bartok’s duos the players
