www.clitheroetoday.co.uk High-flying charity efforts pay off

WHALLEY business women Enid Fitzsimmons and Sarah Grieve have become well-known locally over the past few years for their charity fund raising efforts. Enid, of Scorpion Manufacturing Services, and Sarah, of Ivan A. Hargreaves and Co., have raised funds for several local charities . and good causes.

After reading about the appeal for

the North West Air Ambulance, they got into gear to help raise much need ed funds. A busy week of leafleting and col

lecting donated goods followed, resulting in a very successful jumble sale, which raised a fantastic £534.20 for the life-saving charity.

V ' j “We were overwhelmed by every

one’s kindness and generosity in sup port of the Air Ambulance,” said Sarah. “This is the biggest sale we have ever held, both in terms of money raised and people attending.” Pictured are Lynda Brislin (cen

tre) receiving the cheque from Sarah (left) and Enid. (B250304/3)
