A LINE-UP of top comedians is coming


to Blackburn’s Lock and Load Comedy Club on Saturday. The night’s entertainment will kick off


with Geordie poet Scott Tyrrell. He will recite some funny, poems—craftily weaved in between some witty banter. The club will then have Manchester


stand-up Des Sharpies with his attention- grabbing act - hotly tipped to take him to the top.


The headlining act is Vladimir


McTavish, pictured, who has deservedly gained a reputation as a consistently inventive and entertaining performer on the stand-up circuit. While his unique Scottish wit has made


him immensely popular with audiences back home, he also appears regularly at most major London clubs. Occasional compere stand-in Ruth

A FREE open day is to be held in Blackpool to celebrate the unique her­ itage of the area. For the second year in


a row, the Grand Theatre will join hundreds of properties all over England to open to the public as part of Heritage Open Days 2003. Last year the event
