came flooding back as Mr. Smith talked about the difficulties of papers and printing, censored mail and an extra l/2d on the postage to pay

tralians, said Mr Smith. Specially-imprinted
stamps were produced for the purpose - 3s 7d for surface mail and 5s

members had the chance to inspect the stamps at close hand and after wards Mr Smith talked about the development of airmail flights within Australia and between Australia and Europe. At the end of the
