Grindleton’s new parish boundary stones visited on a special walk
of the locality's oldest boundary stones, which appear on a 16th Century map. After starting from the
ruins of St Clares farmstead on the fell, the group
walked down to the Ribble. At North West Water's Grindleton Treatment Works, the site of one of the new stones, the group was met by Mr John Carys- forth, who was representing
North West Water, the firm which has sponsored the boundary stones project. The walk ended at the
