stocks of Clithcroe branded Millennium mugs and spoons, bought originally as presents for the town's pri mary school children and senior citizens. Mugs and spoons are

Quad bike stolen
SATURDAY night burglars stole a £1,800 quad bike from a store at a farm in Slaidburn. The purple and white child-size machine is a Suzuki, and police are inves tigating.

Gregson, began the meeting by reminding members that, although this was the last indoor meeting until October 4th, there was a lot for members to be involved in before then. He then proceeded to
thank all who had con tributed in any way to the success of the club's coffee morning in the Mayor's Parlour. The chairman told members that he and his wife (the secretary of the club) had been out in the afternoon and spent most of the money raised! This statement was quick ly followed with the expla nation th a t it had been spent on setting up large containers for the Flower Festival at the United Reformed Church in June, money which will be reim bursed eventually. considerable success for a small club. Ribblesdale came 18th out of 60 in the L and CPU Open Colour Prints. Only four more points would have given fourth place. The open colour slides section was oven better, making 10th place. Four more points would have won second
place. On Saturday, the club
will hold a coffee morning at Clitheroe Town Hall. Next week, there will be a
fun competition called "Bring Five Slides." The club meets at Ribble Lane, Chatburn, on Tuesdays at 7-30 p.m. until the end of May. The summer pro gramme is now arranged and will involve outdoor evening visits and gentle strolls.
