November 16th there will be a talk by Mr A. Ibbotson on "Simple as ABC - saving a child's life". The competi tion will be for a'conserva- tion tip and there will be a stall for kitchen items.

Glasses for Africa A collection of discarded
spectacles in Whalley last month raised 71 pairs, i t was reported this week. These, together with 57
