COURSE CONTENT Double-eniry book-keeping. Us application in businesses and clubs.


Presentation ol financial statements and balance sheets. Practical excercises


PROGRESSION New or more uselul employment or book-keeping related work


areas. Social involvement as club treasurers. Students will be able to sit the RSA 1 examination. Provision ol sound base for entry into Accounting Stage 2 course.


BOOK-KEEPING AND ACCOUNTS - RSA 2

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Candidates will normally have completed a Stage 1 book-keeping course


COURSE CONTENT Presentation of financial statements and accounts of partnerships and limited companies. Analysis and interpretation of business results including use of ratios Practicnt exercises.


PROGRESSION Employment in accountancy. Appreciation of business management results Ladder to career in accounting. Provision of sound base for entry into higher level combined courses in accountancy business studies.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Good standard ol English.


COURSE CONTENT Teeline is a modern system ol shorthand based on the letters ol the alphabet. The theory is covered in 23 units, approximately one uml being presented each week. Dictation is practised throughout the course and students can expect to achieve 50-70 wpiTI.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS None or some keyboarding typing skills.


Wordperlect is one of the leading word processing applications. This course will cover an introduction to the keyboard lor those who have not typed before. The Course will cover the facilities ot creating, editing and formatting a document. Examinations Irom this course will include the RSA Core Text Processing and Stage t Word Processing.


WORD PROCESSING (WORD PERFECT 5.1)


INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED WHALLEY, THURSDAY 1 p.m.


ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Some typing word processing skills, preferably RSA 1 in Word Processing.


Word Perfect is one ol the leading word processing applications. This course is for students who have a basic qualification in word processing either using Word Perfect or any other word processing package. RSA examinations at all levels will be available.


KEYBOARDING AND BASIC WORD

COURSE CONTENT How to use a computer keyboard and use a Word Processing package on an Amstrad workstation.


PROGRESSION RSA Core Text Processing. RSA 1.2 and 3 Word Processing.

This course covers general computer awareness, simple procedures, elementary handling and basic concepts and an introduction to word processing and spreadsheets. This 10 week course will be followed by levels 2.

For those with a basic computer knowledge who wish to develop their skills in MSDOS. spreadsheet concepts and formula and databases.
