For our mains, we couldn’t resist the Steak Night Special, available Monday to Wednesday. A perfect midweek treat that offers a complimentary bottle of wine when you order any two steaks.
We both selected the 7oz Fillet, the most tender of cuts, delicately flavoured with notes of honey and expertly chargrilled. Served with golden fries, a fresh mixed leaf salad and a roasted garlic tomato, it was the kind of dish that reminds you why simple, perfectly executed food never goes out of style.
To elevate the experience further, we enjoyed the Chef’s Extras gourmet sauces, Aged Black Garlic Mayo, Beef Bordelaise Marrow Sauce, and Tomato & Harissa Ketchup, each one crafted to perfection and adding a touch of indulgence to every bite. Our chosen red wine complemented the meal beautifully, smooth, rich, and ideal for such a satisfying main course.
Dessert was an easy choice, the Baked Alaska. Arriving at the table with toasted meringue and a touch of theatre, our waiter
poured Cointreau over the dessert and set it alight, the flickering flames drawing admiring glances from nearby diners. The combination of soft, sweet meringue, creamy vanilla ice cream, and a whisper of orange liqueur was pure indulgence, the perfect finale to an exceptional meal.
We lingered over coffee, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and friendly service, before reluctantly stepping back into the cold, rainy night.
