drawing inspiration from the rich artistry of Chinese paintings dating back to the Ming dynasty. The chinoiserie design was originally hand-painted using traditional ink and paint techniques.

Sometimes, when a design house launches a new season’s collections, the main book will be fabulous, with possibly another one or two good books, while the others in the collection are at best alright. Not so in this case. The companion collections, Drago, Montaine, Deauville and Corti are all stand-alone winners.
Drago features stylised cloud motifs and bold polka dots, brought to life in rich, tactile velvet, highlighting the contrast between materials and finishes. A refined blend of materials balances matte surfaces with a subtle shimmer, adds depth and sophistication across four distinctive designs.
Montaine is a luxury upholstery fabric collection of stylish woven designs, made from natural yarns and enriched by the signature Canovas colour palette. These decorative upholstery fabrics include a multicoloured herringbone, refined tweed, vibrant bouclé and striking semi plain weaves.
Deauville Linen Stripes and Checks is an effortlessly elegant collection that celebrates the natural beauty of linen through timeless woven designs. Inspired by relaxed coastal living, classic stripes and a refined check are presented in a soft palette of vineyard greens, sea blues, sunlit yellows and gently weathered reds.
Corti is Canovas’ latest indoor and outdoor fabric collection, offering a confident balance of performance and style. Inspired by a broad range of global influences, statement motifs includ- ing East Asian inspired water dragons, a vibrant botanical design and a playful squiggle sit alongside refined geometric patterns, an elegant stripe and timeless plains. I do realise, however, that

indoor / outdoor collections aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, especially as some of the lovely upholstery fabrics won’t pass the UK fire regulations for use indoors, and taking into account the Midlands weather as opposed to the weather on the French Riviera.
Larsen is a very different kettle of fish. Jack Lenor Larsen (1927– 2020) was a pioneering textile designer known for introducing non-Western, ancient, and artisan techniques to modern, mass-produced fabrics. He created fabrics for iconic mid-century modern buildings and furniture, including collaborations with Frank Lloyd Wright and Pan American Airlines. Larsen invested great passion into sourcing global inspiration and exploring traditional and contemporary weaving techniques.
For me, the Larsen products of today can be summed up in a few words: natural, elegant, stylish and timeless. The 2026 collection, comprising five main books, brings together tradition and modern design in a refined dialogue of exceptional craftsmanship, natural fibres and artistic heritage, creating fabrics and wallcoverings with texture, depth and timeless appeal. Drawing inspiration from global influences including Asian and African ikats, Tuareg rugs, rainforest foliage and abstract landscapes, each design is thoughtfully reimagined through a contemporary lens, making for a sophisticated interior.
Kandi is a collection of decorative prints, weaves and embroideries, rooted in tradition and craftsmanship. This textile collection explores expressive fabric designs shaped by global influences and the natural world. Refined embroidery fabrics, decorative printed textiles and richly textured jacquard weaves showcase natural fibres and artisanal techniques, creating layered surfaces with depth, movement and contemporary elegance.
Here again, although Kandi is the main furnishing fabric collection, the ancillary collections Asti and Misti really do hold
