With a world becoming ever crazier and food prices on the rise, many people are turning to producing fruit and vegetables as a way of bringing some kind of control to their lives.


Whether it’s a garden full of beans, greens, roots and potatoes or simply enough salad to keep the family going all summer, there are few things more satisfying than growing your own.


Yet for many of us, gardening seems to be a mystical art full of long words and Latin plant names, something for which Huw Richards has little time. He’s all about encouraging people to get stuck in, and his popular YouTube channel, Instagram posts and books are all about breaking down barriers and providing inspiration.


In them he explores various ways to grow your own, from pots on the patio to full scale allotments, and he’s full of sound advice for those who fear they won’t have enough time to maintain a plot.


Soon, Huw will be coming to the RHS Malvern Spring Festival to share his enthusiasm for gardening and answer any burning questions audiences may have, such as whether to dig, or practise ‘no-dig’.
