LI VE 2 4 - SEVEN – THE MIDL ANDS PREMIER LUXURY LIFESTYLE MAGAZINE INCORPORATING THE MIDL ANDS PROPERTY GUIDE
Welcome to the April edition of Live 24-Seven magazine. I really love this time of year. We are starting to enjoy some lighter evenings, the weather is slowly warming up and there are signs of life in the garden promising us that summer is on the way.
April, and specifically the long Easter break so many of us enjoy, has traditionally been the time of year we look to our properties to give them a bit of a makeover. With this in mind our Homes and Garden section of the magazine has lots of inspiration for anyone looking to implement a few changes or improvements. It’s always lovely to refresh your interiors and our resident experts have lots of tips on how to do this.

The spring also sees the start of the outdoor show season and we bring news of the RHS Malvern Spring Festival which takes place at the start of May. The show is the perfect place to pick up expert advice on all manner of things and this year there is a host of star guests this year, including Monty Don and Jo Whiley. Michelin-starred chef Raymond Blanc OBE will also be making an appearance at the show and this month I was lucky enough to have a chat with him when he spoke passionately about all things food-related.
April of course is also the start of the asparagus season and our region is lucky to have lots of local growers of this green delicacy. There are so many ways to eat asparagus and we share a couple of British Asparagus’ delicious recipes.
For many of us, this is the time of year our thoughts turn to trips away and at this time of year there’s nowhere more lovely than the Lake District. Whether it’s 5 star hotel accommodation or luxury glamping that floats your boat, we’ve got it covered. Take a look at our ideas for a fabulous staycation with a difference
Hopefully that gives us some food for thought this month. Enjoy the start of spring and see you in May. Sally-ann x
