There can’t be many of us who haven’t heard of collagen, but how many of us really know how critical it is to the appearance and vitality of our skin?

WHAT IS COLLAGEN AND WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT TO MY SKIN?
Collagen is the ‘scaffolding’ for the skin providing strength and structure to keep skin firm and plump. It strengthens the skin and promotes elasticity and hydration, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles making the skin appear more youthful and vibrant.
WHAT HAPPENS TO COLLAGEN AS WE AGE?
From your late 20’s, collagen levels decline at a rate of 1% a year. At this point, signs of ageing become more noticeable shown as laxity and sagging skin, lines and wrinkles.
WHAT OTHER FACTORS AFFECT COLLAGEN?
