AN IDEAL BASE Membership is open to those in the creative industries. Day membership gives the ultimate flexibility – and you'll receive excellent personal service. “My introduction to the Design Club came via attending talks and lectures during its design weeks,” says Robyn Hennessy of Hennessey House Design, a high-end residential interior design studio based near Guildford. “I have used the day membership for a while now and it is an integral part of our business. While we do have an office outside London, the Design Club has become my primary working base in the city. Its proximity and connection to the Design Centre make it an invaluable asset.” Hennessy paints a picture of a typical day at the
Design Club: “It begins with a drive into London for a client meeting. Once at the Design Centre, I establish my base at the club and embark on showroom visits to collect samples or discuss ongoing orders. The club's ambience strikes a perfect balance between exclusivity
and warmth, comfortable setting.”
OUTSTANDING SERVICE The Design Club team, headed by manager Carol-Ann Boshoff, go out of their way to make sure that members are welcomed and cared for. “The Design Club team have been incredibly accommodating, and their support is something I really value. Their commitment to service excellence not only makes each visit productive but also genuinely enjoyable,” continues Hennessey. “I particularly appreciate the security of leaving my equipment and presentation materials at the Club while I step out to showrooms, knowing everything will be safe and as I left it.” “We pride ourselves on recognising all our members,
even if they haven’t been in for a while,” says Boshoff. “We know them by name and remember what they like. Expect to receive a birthday greeting on your special day and find yourself featured on the weekly member profile post on the club’s Instagram account.”

VENUE FOR HIRE The Design Club is also available to hire for corporate events, whether for an intimate dinner, cocktail party, launch event, pop-up gallery or conference. Packages are bespoke, with catering, waiting staff and AV equipment all available; capacity ranges from 50 for a dinner to 100 for theatre-style seating. The club’s long workbench-style table, discreetly separate from the rest of the venue and seating up to 18, can also be hired for daytime events. “The organisation was perfect from start to finish,”
says Jerome Avanel of Design Centre showroom Elitis, who last autumn hosted a talk with the French brand’s creative director Arianne Dalle and Elle Decoration editor in chief Ben Spriggs, attended by 40 top designers. “All our requests were accommodated, every detail taken into account and we were thrilled to see all our guests having a great time. “The Design Club was an obvious destination – our
guests are already used to our presence here and know the place very well already which makes everything easier and more convenient for organising an event.”
