THE JOURNAL
LIGHTING BY DESIGN 14 – 17 November 2022 Following on from its launch last
year, Lighting
by Design returns with a galaxy of global lighting brands illuminating the Design Avenue. Names such as Baccarat, Lladró and Serip – all revered for their design, craftsmanship and innovation – are taking part, alongside bright and beautiful products available in the showrooms and an accompanying programme of talks and tours. With lighting considered one of the most important tools in a designer’s arsenal for its transformative powers, this is one not to be missed.
FORMED WITH FUTURE HERITAGE 10 – 14 October
Discover independent makers and emerging talent at this new show. The event will incorporate the already well-established Future Heritage, journalist and curator Corinne Julius’s influential showcase of up-and-coming designers, which will be augmented by limited-edition pieces by independent makers, all brought together in one place. Buying or commissioning a unique piece of craft has never been more appealing, and the show’s aim is to bridge the gap between makers and those seeking to buy or commission one-off pieces, whether from a talented individual at the beginning of their career or a highly regarded larger studio.
TWINKLE OF CHRISTMAS FAIR 29 November – 3 December
Enjoy a magical Christmas shopping experience, with the Design Avenue transformed into a lavish wonderland of decorations, and a cornucopia of luxury lifestyle brands selling tempting wares. There will also be a pop-up shop full of seasonal gift ideas from the showrooms, courtesy of the Design Centre’s Personal Shopping team.
