November and December are always special months at FX HQ. Tere’s a buzz of anticipation, coupled with a sense of celebration, and I never fail to enjoy the excitement that comes with it.

full and joyful as ever. First up, the annual FX Awards return later this month, a highlight in our industry calendar. Tese awards recognise the fabulous work and extraordinary talent you bring to this field – and to FX – day in, day out. Tere is nothing like an evening of acknowledgement and applause to remind us why we do what we do. Ten it’s straight into the festive season: a time to slow and embrace good cheer with friends, colleagues and family. It’s the perfect counterpoint to a busy year and an opportunity to reflect, recharge and reconnect. Tis issue brings a little sparkle of its own to help bring on a festive spirit. Inside you’ll find a selection of features celebrating high-end and luxury design – from the changing expectations of ski-chalet interiors to the refinement of private-jet cabin design. I was especially honoured to be invited to Rolls-Royce this summer to preview its latest coupe, which put craft and design centre stage.


And while this issue closes out 2025, it also marks my


final edition. After nearly 13 years of showcasing so many brilliant designers, architects, craftspeople and artists, it feels important to say thank you. FX is a unique publication, representing a unique community, and being part of it has been a true honour. Wishing you all the very best for 2026 – and I look


forward to welcoming you, for the last time, to the FX Awards on 26 November. See you there!
