TTJ: BISTRACK IS OFFERED AS A CLOUD SOLUTION AND ALSO WITH WEB BROWSER FUNCTIONALITY. ARE MORE BUSINESSES READY FOR THE CLOUD NOW? Adam Lee: Absolutely. BisTrack SaaS [software as a service] is now by far the most popular deployment model – new customers are choosing it over on-prem [on premises] at a ratio of 10:1. Many existing clients are also moving to the cloud, with security being a key driver, especially in light of recent high- profile retail breaches. Our cloud solution is powered by Microsoft Azure and supported 24/7 by a large team of experts, offering a level of resilience and service that would be difficult for customers to replicate in-house. Alongside our cloud offering, we’ve just completed a multi-year rebuild of BisTrack to make it fully browser- based. BisTrack Web is now available alongside the traditional desktop client at no additional cost, giving customers the choice to use one or both. This technical investment puts us ahead of competitors still grappling with legacy systems. Some may offer browser-like functionality through temporary workarounds, but a true web- native application opens up much broader innovation opportunities for the future. Our early move to SaaS and strong financial footing also mean we can offer very attractive incentives to help customers transition to the cloud.
