STRONGER FUTURES SMARTER TECH, It has been quite the year for Klipboard, formerly known as Kerridge Commercial Systems
With a bold rebrand, a renewed commitment to innovation, and a series of strategic investments and partnerships, Klipboard has redefined its position in the market as a leading provider of business management solutions for the timber trade. For example, in late 2024, Klipboard acquired Vigo Software – a move that brings best-in-class logistics and delivery management into the Klipboard ecosystem. The acquisition adds powerful functionality for delivery planning, pallet scanning, live tracking, ePOD (electronic proof of delivery), and real-time vehicle visibility – all essential
tools for timber merchants operating high- volume, multi-drop deliveries.
“By combining Vigo’s delivery expertise with Klipboard’s ERP and warehouse strengths, we can now offer merchants complete end-to-end control – from quote to doorstep,” said James Mitchell, CEO of Europe.
Around the same time, Klipboard also announced its partnership with Open ECX, giving customers a faster, more automated way to process purchase orders, invoices and credits through secure electronic data exchange.
This move supports Klipboard’s mission to reduce paperwork and improve sustainability, eliminate manual errors, and speed up end- to-end operations.
“With Open ECX, we’re helping customers reduce time, cost and friction across their supply chain,” said DJ Jones, chief product officer.
KONNECT 2025
These were just two of the developments shared with customers at Klipboard’s Konnect event this year.
Held in March at Stratford-upon-Avon’s Crowne Plaza, Konnect 2025 marked a significant moment for Klipboard – bringing together customers, partners and industry leaders for two days of product updates, strategic insights, and hands-on workshops. Most notably, it served as the public debut of the Klipboard brand as well as a showcase for its next generation of solutions and innovations.
CEO Ian Bendelow opened the event with a bold message. “Today marks an exciting milestone as we launch Klipboard,” he said. “This rebrand reflects our passion for collaboration, innovation and delivering measurable value to customers. We believe this new name and contemporary identity will showcase what our amazing teams do and help customers to navigate all our solution offerings under one roof.”
