Sunds Fibertech has signed a contract with Unidbtplus to install the Internal
Resin Injection System at Unidbtplus’ plant in South Korea.

emissions. This aligns
with the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainable

Leading international wood- based panels conference IPPS 2025 will be taking place in Wales on October 1-2. Conference organiser, The BioComposites Centre has issued a call for papers for the event, which will be held at the Imperial Hotel in Llandudno. The International Panel Products Symposium (IPPS) is a blend of technical presentations, research updates, discussions and networking. Latest developments in wood-based panels technology, including resins and MDF recycling, are typically shared at the event. The BioComposites Centre
is inviting abstracts for presentations in the following areas: • Composition modelling, visualisation and microstructure
• Panel performance, durability and weathering
• Bio-based resins, resin design for circular economy • Innovation in wood-based panels including: OSB, fibre- based insulation materials, plywood, and lightweight panels • Recycled and novel fibrous feedstocks • Processing technologies, fractionation, recycling and cleaning
• Modification, pre-treatments and property enhancement
• VOC scavenging and indoor air quality

BASF is now using new composite intermediate bulk containers (C-IBCs) for filling MDI at its site in Antwerp. The special highlight:
Recycled HDPE (high density polyethylene) is used in the new containers. This, says BASF, contributes to strengthening the circular economy and helps to reduce emissions.
The use of recycled material means that fewer
new materials are required, which not only minimises the consumption of resources, but also saves approximately 6kg CO2
still consists of unaltered material. This ensures that the product stored or transported in these containers never comes into contact with the recycled material and that the high product quality is maintained.
