A key aspect of the new facilities include the implementation of a lean-manufacturing line that will double monthly production. At Bauma, Raimondi presented the new flattop tower crane series, designed to cater to market needs. The machine range, conceptualized and developed fully in-house, is the result of extensive R&D, further optimized through the company’s close costumer relationships.
PRESENTING A NEW RANGE OF MODELS TO THE MARKET Divided into two main categories – Class 110, and Class 150 – the new cranes present significant technical improvements. While meeting the highest levels of safety, the new models will satisfy a larger segment of the rental fleet market. The new machines are built on a modularity system of the top elements, with the jib sections designed to be installed across different models and the counter- jib components partially reusable on different cranes. The designs have several
benefits, including the ability to expand the product portfolio due to the interchangeability of the upper components and, thus cover the demand of a wider segment of the market. Additionally, the unification of
elements such as winches, motors, and gearboxes aim to ensure greater parts communality and reducing spare parts and stock. Worth noting is that even the new control system is unified across machines to promote a simpler and seamless crane operator drivability.
This simplification process, implemented during developing stage, reflects the company choice of renaming the cranes with simpler initials T-XX7. All of the
new machines can be equipped with the Raimondi crane cabin.
DEVELOPING A REFRESHED VISUAL IDENTITY Raimondi announced the completion of an extensive rebranding effort as part of the company’s wider push forward just ahead of Bauma 2022. The first public showing of
Raimondi’s new visual identity debuted alongside the launch of its new machine range, and the opening of a new manufacturing facility and headquarters. The manufacturer’s refreshed brand was shaped and created over a 16-month period, aiming to reflect the new approach to the crane manufacturing industry. The new logo pays tribute to Raimondi’s past by bringing forward one of the strongest design elements – the iconic R – while simplifying and modernizing it to convey dimension and innovation. a new color palette conveying the company’s modern approach. Touches of red can still be seen on Raimondi’s products, the core of its business, to symbolize how the past and the present can coexist to build higher. To honor its long heritage, it was important to retain the signature Raimondi red in the product lineup schema. The new brand builds on
Raimondi’s heritage – that of a customer-centric approach – while conveying the significant changes and recent innovations introduced. The renewed image emotes a more dynamic, confident, and contemporary look and feel. As a heritage manufacturer of intelligently-designed heavy lifting solutions, Raimondi Cranes looks to the future from a strong position in the market. The strategic shift in look, design ethos, and modern technologically advanced headquarters was deemed essential to support Raimondi’s vision to become the most responsive global leaders in scalable heavy lifting solutions.
