PV-E CRANE FS.903/7

Dutch crane and heavy equipment specialist PV-E Cranes & Services will showcase its fully battery- electric crawler cranes. While PV-E is known for its piling and drilling rigs, it sold the business manufacturing these a few years ago to concentrate on equipment rental. Now PV-E has a new company that will use the production facility in The Netherlands to manufacture the electric crawler cranes, in compliance with the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive, CE, TüV and other applicable regulations and standards. At Bauma the company’s EC80 will be shown for the first time. The zero emission 80-tonne crawler crane with lattice boom has already been delivered to a leading Dutch contractor. It’s a small copy of the PV-

E’s 160-tonne capacity EC160 crane which was released earlier this year. It consists of an electric motor with 250

kW of power –peaking at 360 kW – and is powered by a battery pack of one or two LFP batteries of 130 kWh each. It is possible to specify a heavier XXL-battery pack of 195 kWh, which further extends the running time. On a full standard battery pack it is possible to run for eight to ten hours, said PV-E “The specs and looks of this PV-E Crane appeal to customer demands and thanks to its good value for money, we expect to sell a lot of them,” commented Rob van den Boogaard, managing director at PV-E Crane. “The EC80 and EC160 are available from stock in limited series and can already count on interest from the Benelux, England, Scandinavia and even Singapore."
