SHOW PREVIEW

HOLA, COLOMBIA!

TOC Americas is once again shaping up to be a vibrant event as the industry gathers in Colombia. DLM has compiled its highlights for you.

ast year’s TOC Americas in Panama City attracted over 1,800 shipping professionals from across the container supply chain community. For 2026, the organisers are aiming to bring together even more suppliers, operators and innovators. This year’s show takes place in Las Americas convention centre in Cartagena, Colombia, 20–22 October. It is centred on the theme of reimagining the Americas’ port and supply chain.

L

Talking TOC The conference line-up addresses some important topics for equipment operators over all three days. A Tech Toc talk on 20 October is a great place to start. This port and terminal leadership forum is posing the question: ‘What are the tangible business benefits of an industry-wide port digitalisation benchmark?’ It takes place from 11:30am to 12:30pm. And

on the same day there is a seminar on port automation at 2pm, followed by one on fleet electrification at 4pm – watch out for Kalmar’s participation in this. Wednesday’s highlights include a Tech

Toc on asset management and equipment maintenance aimed specifically at small ports, with the speaker line-up including ZPMC. This is followed by a seminar looking beyond the hype of AI, featuring CM Labs Simulations, while the day’s schedule concludes with a focus on optimising container handling. Lastly, Thursday’s recommended Tech Toc is on taking a holistic approach to safety.

The show floor The conference is a great place to catch up on the latest trends and hear from sector experts, but most of the business is still done on the show floor. DLM has compiled a checklist of exhibitors worth visiting.

Bromma, C22 Bromma will use TOC Americas to make the case for treating the spreader as a service relationship rather than a one-off purchase. The spreader accounts for a small

share of a terminal’s total investment, but it sits at the point where every container is handled. When it stops, the crane stops. That economics sits behind Bromma’s expanding service offering, and it is what the company will focus on in Cartagena. Three themes feature on the stand: parts availability, fleet upgrades and monitoring and data. For parts availability, Bromma will show its

parts platform BrommaParts, as well as Parts Match, which identifies the correct part for a given spreader configuration. This aims to address lead times and part identification, which are persistent problems for terminals running mixed and ageing fleets. When it comes to fleet upgrades, rather than replacing working equipment, Bromma

Bromma will use TOC Americas to make the case for treating the spreader as a service relationship rather than a one-off purchase. xxii | October 2026 | www.hoistmagazine.com
