This crane – capable of loading iron ore, coal, fertiliser, grain, soda ash, and other bulk solids – was commissioned in 2018 and has proven to be an efficient and cost-effective solution for the end user. It is currently in operation at Kocaeli Derince Port, loading soda ash from large vertical silos into ships. The shiploader has an annual loading capacity of 2.5 million tonnes, a reversible travelling direction, and an overall height of 46m. It is designed with an elevator working height of 23m and operates at a speed of 1.4m per second.
