ASVAD©

Asvad Intl SL was founded in 2015 to promote the installation of the valve across the PWR plants in

the world. It has agreements with third companies to fabricate, commercialize and integrate the ASVAD Valve in Europe and US, but it is still searching for new partners, especially in Russia, Ukraine, China, South Korea and Japan.

Empresarios Agrupados was created in 1971 and was the main or sole engineering firm for three PWR and three BWR projects in Spain. It handled a full range of engineering services, supply management, construction supervision and testing and startup of the facilities. Among many more recent nuclear contracts it was awarded the design and engineering to upgrade of the electrical power supply at Slovenia’s Krško plant. It prides itself on an innovative culture

for the development of knowledge and know-how, technologies, their processes and the tools to work with them.

In May, state-owned Enusa signed an agreement to supply 12 fuel

reloads and on-site services for Almaraz, Ascó and Vandellós II. More recently it celebrated its first collaboration agreement with the IAEA which “gives structure and shape” to existing collaborations that focus on: nuclear fuel cycle; advanced fuel development; spent fuel and waste management; and transport of nuclear and radioactive materials.

Asturfeito says its goal is to become the preferred manufacturing partner for the leading companies in each of its sectors. It supplies items such as pressure vessels,

transport casks, internals, heavy cranes and lifting equipment and internals for clients both for new nuclear and decommissioning projects. It also serves large fusion facilities like ITER or JT-60.

The Cluster of the Nuclear Industry in Cantabria (CINC) is a

business organization that serves as the meeting point between all the nuclear industry stakeholders in Cantabria. It brings together include the University of Cantabria and companies including SGS, CIC Consulting, Valdinox, Atos, NN Nucleanor, Inesco Ingenieros, Enwesa and more.

Ensa specialises in the manufacture of large components

such as reactor vessels, reactor vessel cover heads and internals, steam generators, heat exchangers, casks for fuel storage and transportation, fuel racks for fuel, etc. Currently exporting 85% of its production, ENSA has produced more than 100 steam generators for use in nuclear power plants worldwide.
