Aromos dam was completed in 1979, with a reservoir capacity of 60.3Mm3, and is situated approximately 90km to the north-west of Santiago. The dam is placed in a narrow zone of Limache Creek, about 5km downstream of the confluence with Aconcagua River. It is a zoned dam, with a maximum height of 42m and a length of 220m.
