BOOTS PHARMACY BRECHIN, ANGUS Boots Brechin collaborated closely with the local GP practice to support healthcare delivery in their rural community. During Storm Babet, they provided essential medication to evacuated residents, adapting delivery methods and donating supplies, fostering stronger community ties and enhancing healthcare coordination.


WALLACETOWN PHARMACY AND DUNDEE DRUG AND ALCOHOL RECOVERY SERVICE (DDARS) During a flooding crisis, the partnership ensured uninterrupted patient care. By sharing resources, they facilitated same-day opioid replacement therapy and improved communication, resulting in enhanced patient outcomes and streamlined services for the community.


CARRICK PHARMACY AND AYRSHIRE URGENT CARE SERVICE (AUCS) This partnership piloted a community-based urgent care service, reducing patient travel distances and carbon footprints while freeing up GP capacity. Technical and operational challenges were addressed, leading to improved patient satisfaction and efficient use of resources for both partners.


COMMUNITY PHARMACY AYRSHIRE & ARRAN / NHS AYRSHIRE & ARRAN TRAUMA AND ORTHOPAEDICS TEAM A community pharmacy discharge service was launched to streamline patient discharge. Training and communication improvements enhanced patient care, shortened hospital stays, and empowered community pharmacy teams, have led to positive patient feedback and improved hospital flow.
