OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO PHARMACY PRACTICE
The recipient of the 2023 Outstanding Contribution to Pharmacy Practice was awarded to Professor Anne Watson for her three-decade commitment to advancing the field. Beginning her career at Southern General Hospital, she pioneered clinical pharmacy services. Recognized as an education leader, she spearheaded pharmacy courses, including the first Supplementary Prescribing course. Described as a dedicated and influential figure in the pharmacy profession, Anne is renowned for her commitment to advancing pharmacy practice and shaping education policy.
Recognition by her peers is illustrated by the fact that Professor Watson is not only a Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, but she is also a Fellow of the Faculty of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
The aim of this award is to find and recognise an individual, who has had a sustained career, which has made a very significant contribution to the pharmacy sector.
