Tania's data-driven approach demonstrated substantial clinical improvements, including better blood pressure and renal function. Her proactive intervention reduced healthcare burden and garnered positive feedback, highlighting the invaluable role of practice pharmacists.

KILMARNOCK Susan's remarkable initiative secured funding to provide free yoga classes, benefiting peri-menopausal and menopausal patients. As a qualified instructor and passionate advocate for holistic wellness, Susan tailored each session to individual needs, ensuring high-quality standards. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with participants reporting mental health benefits and a newfound appreciation for holistic approaches to menopausal care. Susan's dedication and impact have inspired further exploration of yoga's benefits in patient care.


DAVIDSONS CHEMIST, BRECHIN Recognising the community of Brechin has faced ongoing challenges in accessing GP appointments since the practice was ‘dissolved’, the Brechin pharmacy team showcased outstanding community dedication by spearheading health initiatives, such as Read-Write access to GP notes. During crises like Storm Babet, they ensured medication access despite challenges like power outages and supply shortages, earning praise from patients, local authorities, and professional bodies across the community.


STEWART MCNAIR, KINGSGATE MEDICAL PRACTICE, BATHGATE Stewart introduced a frailty clinic within the GP practice, for patients experiencing physiological decline and increased vulnerability - addressing the increasing complexity of patient needs. The pharmacist-led clinic also offers house visits to ensure equitable access to care for vulnerable and frail patients. The clinic's impact has been overwhelmingly positive, reducing falls risk, optimizing medication, and facilitating appropriate referrals for vulnerable patients.
