FType reaches new heights in Bristol
Castle Park View is an attractive 26 storey new-build residential scheme being constructed on a brownfield site owned by Bristol City Council and Homes England. Castle Park will deliver high quality built-to-rent homes in the city centre including communal facilities, amenity space and car parks. The tower will be one of the tallest buildings in Bristol.
Nearly 1,000 Element fire rated downlighters from Luceco has been specified along with over 6,500 FType luminaires. This popular compact downlight family includes FType Fixed, FType Adjustable, FType Dim2Warm and FType Colour Change, all comprising of low glare crystalline lens and die-cast aluminium thermal rod heatsink, with speed and ease of installation guaranteed due to Clip & Fit and Speed Fit wiring. FType is also I-Joist certified in accordance with BS 476-21 for 30 minute I-Joist ceiling applications.
Super-efficient Samsung LED chips deliver 100Llm/cW, with FType also offering leading and
trailing edge dimming compatibility as standard. FType Fixed and Adjustable are available in 3000K and 4000K colour temperatures with Dim2warm delivering a range from 2200-2700K colour temperatures. FType Colour Change offers colour temperature adjustability via a wall switch for maximum flexibility options of 3000K, 4000K and 6500K.
Although the Castle Park View tower is still yet to be completed, the 180,000 sq. ft scheme will provide 375 new homes, 20 per cent of which will be affordable housing and will be the first ever commercial connection to the Bristol Heat Network.
