Resident Bedrooms & Living Areas
Bedrooms are private spaces where residents need to feel comfortable and secure. Bedrooms often become multifunctional as a living area, e.g. a study space in a student house of residence. Warm white dimmable lighting with good colour rendering should be used for the primary light source with softer glare free indirect luminaires used for secondary background lighting. Ceiling recessed or surface mounted luminaries for practicality could be considered providing around 100 lux which can then be supported by wall lights as a secondary lighting source
