NEWS POLICE PODCAST A Voice for the Frontline

In an era where digital media plays a central role in communication, the Police Federation of England and Wales continues to expand its podcast offering to keep members, stakeholders and the public informed and engaged. The series is designed to provide clear insights into the realities of policing, covering everything from officer welfare to national policy decisions. Each episode features in-depth discussions with Federation representatives and subject matter experts, addressing the challenges faced by frontline officers and the work being undertaken to support them. We also highlight the Federation’s resources and webinars, aimed at assisting with professional development and wellbeing.

Our most recent episode, released on 26 August, includes an interview with

National Secretary John Partington, who discusses this year’s police pay award and outlines the Federation’s plans for the future. Previous episodes have explored critical issues such as staffing pressures, mental health challenges and the increasing complexity of criminal investigations. The podcast consistently showcases resilience and innovation within the service, offering listeners a deeper understanding of the work carried out by our members and Federation staff. Episodes typically run between 20

and 40 minutes, making them ideal for listening during a commute or a short break. The POLICE podcast is available on all major platforms and can be accessed via mobile, laptop or tablet. Simply search for ‘POLICE: the podcast from the Police Federation of England and Wales’ to start listening.
