2024 POLICE BRAVERY AWARDS
In the morning, all nominees and their loved ones were fortunate to be met by sunshine during a once in a lifetime visit to 10 Downing Street, with plenty of opportunities for a photo at the shiny No. 10 black door to take home. Guest were then greeted by Larry, Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office, followed by a reception hosted by Home Secretary Rt Hon Yvette Cooper in the garden. Speaking to nominees, she said: “This is the moment to honour you. Huge thank you for the immense courage you have shown and for everything you do, and to all your colleagues for what they do every single day to keep us safe.” More than 300 guests attended the evening do, including the Policing Minister and the Home Secretary,
coming together to celebrate the best of British policing.
PFEW Acting National Chair Tiff Lynch
said: “Tonight, we heard extraordinary stories of bravery. “We heard from officers who have faced firearms, knives, dealt with burning buildings and put their own safety before others. Officers who said, it’s just part of the job.
“But it’s not just part of the job. It is going above and beyond the requirements of the job, and tonight we got a chance to recognise that and thank those officers.” Kerry McMahon White, Managing
