In 2015, during How to Get Away with Murder, he also managed to squeeze in a role in another classic Broadway show—Te King And I. “Working at Lincoln Center is incredible,” he said. “Te number of classic shows that have come out of that campus is incredible. So, to be a part of that is pretty amazing.”


Ricamora says it prepared him to take on his latest


role—this time the lead—in another iconic show. He took the stage in January as Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors. “It’s been great,” he said. “Te entire cast is the most


positive. We have so much fun coming to work every day, even though the role is grueling because I barely ever leave the stage.” Despite the fame and all the success that comes with being a noted television and stage star, Ricamora still comes back to Charlotte regularly. “I still have great friends from Queens that I keep in


touch with,” he says. “Queens and the city of Charlotte changed me. I wouldn’t be where I am if I hadn’t experienced what I did and been able to take advantage of everything it offered. Queens is such a special school. Tere are so many opportunities available but it’s not
