THE RISE OF WOLVERHAMPTON… FACTS NOT FICTION:


As at 1 April 2024, DfT stats showed 257,456 drivers licensed in England, outside London. City of Wolverhampton Council licenses 16.64% of these drivers. Meanwhile the next six largest councils license just 14.8% in total.


It’s clear that Wolverhampton council’s licensed driver and vehicle numbers will continue to increase and dominate the sector, unless the UK government intervenes with new legislation OR other licensing authorities find a way to compete with Wolverhampton’s licensing fees and streamlined processing systems.
