Station Taxis of Kings Lynn have supported 200 plus local authority contracts for several years and in recent weeks have seen business levels increase. Director Anthony Bailey saw the CBILS
platform as the ideal “window of opportunity” to update some of their fleet. The government-backed scheme supported businesses by offering financial support of up to £5m. He said: “The recent levels of enquiry gives me confidence and cause for optimism going forwards. With this scheme the government subsidises the interest across the first 12 months of the agreement. “We have had a strong ongoing business relationship with Cabs 4 Less for over ten years now and during this period they have supplied and financed all of our vehicles. “We have found that they give us total transparency in vehicle pricing, specifications and finance rates. “Cabs 4 Less are a one-stop shop that meets our needs and offers the best prices across the board. We have added two 17-seaters and five 9-seaters to our fleet which will help us service these newly awarded contracts and the local public.”
Anthony added: “With securing several new contracts at the start of April we have had to take on eight new drivers to fulfil the manpower needed. For us as a company, the signs are encouraging and hopefully we can continue this trend.”
