Corky’s Cars recently purchased a Tesla Model Y and are the first private hire company to license a full electric vehicle with Cannock Chase District Council. Proprietor William Rotchell told PHTM: “We are already operating a fleet of 80 per cent hybrid vehicles with this being our first full electric car. “Our aim is to be 100 per cent green by 2025 and so be the first environmentally friendly private hire company in the area with an entire fleet of electric vehicles.” “To promote reducing our carbon footprint, we are giving

OCTOPUS ENERGY AND GETT JOIN FORCES TO PROVIDE EV CHARGING FOR LONDON BLACK CABS
Octopus Energy and UK black cab app Gett have collaborated to enable electric vehicle charging for over 4,000 electric taxis in London. This partnership provides charging discounts, credits and reduced prices on home charging equipment for cab drivers on the Gett platform. Octopus Energy’s EV charging platform, Octopus Electroverse, is integrated with major charge point brands across the capital. Taxi drivers on the Gett platform will receive exclusive discounts when using Source London and MFG EV Power charge points in London. Octopus Energy will install

chargers at cab drivers’ homes, offering them enrollment in the Intelligent Octopus Go EV smart tariff for more
affordable
