A pair of Aces
ACE PLANT manufacture and supply the ‘Quickspray’ - a Telehandler & Loading Shovel attachment specifically designed for dust control.
The product utilises a carbon-fibre spinning disc on which flow controlled water is gravity fed. The spinning action of the disc then disperses the water into droplets over a wide area, capturing dust effectively and efficiently. To further assist with the efficiency of water usage, the flow of the gravity fed water can be controlled using an adjustable 2-inch gate valve.
Ace Plant provided Ace Liftaway with a 1800L Quickspray unit for their 15- acre waste recycling centre in Romsey, Hampshire.
Founded by Philip and Melanie Liddell in 1988, Ace Liftaway is a privately owned waste management and recycling company which covers multiple operations within the industry such as C&D, Commercial and Industrial. The company also provide skip bags, wheelie bins, recycled aggregate and portable toilet hire (under ‘Ace Loos’) throughout Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset.

operation of the unit and soon realised how effectively the Quickspray would fulfil his needs in terms of dust suppression.
Ace Liftaway already utilised JCB Teletrucks and Loadalls so having an attachment which could be utilised with existing fleet machinery was certainly a bonus.
Philip stated: “The Quickspray gave us the instant ability to go through the yard from one end to the other. It is the most proficient, minimal time and effort machine we have for dust suppression.”
The Quickspray unit has also been utilised as a water storage bowser to feed Ace Liftaway’s crusher’s internal dust suppression system. Philip said that
he was very pleased with the operation, versatility and simplicity with which the attachment operates.
Philip further added that “weather conditions change by the hour; the unit can dust suppress with controllable water extremely quickly.”
Ace Liftaway opted for the 1800L unit; the benefit of this is the flexibility of being able to supply large quantities of water quickly for any unforeseen event.
The Quickspray was supplied in a specified coastal paint (RAL 1007) and the fork pockets were adjusted so that all of Ace Liftaway’s fleet of Teletrucks and Loadalls were easily compatible with the unit.
