ILIP RPG is pleased to announce the appointment of Nadia Kabir Barb as its first writer in residence.
Nadia is British Bangladeshi writer and journalist whose work has been published in international literary journals and anthologies. She was long-listed for the 2021 Bridport Prize Peggy Chapman-Andrews First Novel Award for Walk in My Shadow. Truth or Dare is her debut collection of short stories.
The CILIP RPG residencies allow writers and artists to spend one year engaging with the group online and/ or in person. An honorarium is paid to each writer and artist. By taking part in the CILIP RPG residencies, writers and artists can tap into the CILIP RPG expertise and networks.
Research Proposal
The world of work is changing. CILIP RPG is keen to develop what it offers in line with its new focus on those library, information and knowledge professionals outside full-time work. We would like to run a research project to find out more about the information and entertainment need for those outside full time work in the libraries, knowledge and information sector.
We expect the research to do the following:
l identify value, gaps and opportunities in what we currently offer;
l identify and scope CILIP RPG target audience both inside and outside CILIP;
l identify key players who could act as champions, members and leaders for CILIP RPG;
l raise the profile of CILIP RPG.
We have discussed research ideas with CILIP Library and Information Research Group (LIRG) and CILIP Knowledge and Information Management Group (K&IM). If any other individuals or groups wish

Conference travel grants CILIP RPG makes grants available to CILIP members for conference attendance.
In 2024 CILIP RPG hope to make further grants available, worth up to £250, towards travel costs for any CILIP member to attend one of the conferences taking place later in the year.
