In response to this year’s theme of lead- ership for changing times, four impres- sive newcomers to the CILIP conference circuit will present their ideas on modern leadership. Topics include Developing leadership from the ground up; Why mentoring matters (and why we may be getting it wrong); Leadership trends in academic libraries; and Knowledge management techniques to support people management. Sathnam Sanghera Book Signing Sathnam Sanghera releases his first children’s book Stolen History: The truth about the British Empire and how it shaped us in June. An accessible, engag- ing and essential introduction to the Brit- ish empire for readers aged nine plus, the book seeks to answer important questions about Britain’s imperial history. The book will be on-sale at Conference via the Browns Books stand and the con- ference team are excited to announce that Sathnam will be there for a book signing prior to his keynote speech.
