CILIP AGM 2022 – Celebrating the profession
This year the CILIP AGM will be held online on Wednesday 26 October 2022. The theme for the CILIP AGM is ‘Cele- brating our Profession’, highlighting the achievements of our members through- out the year.
This year saw the launch of the five-year We Are CILIP strategy which sets an exciting vision of the work we will deliver
together as the leading association for library, knowledge and information pro- fessionals. We call on all members and interested observers to join the AGM. This is a chance to connect to the strong governance of your association. It pro- vides an opportunity for us to celebrate together as a profession. We will hear from inspiring colleagues, share in the
success of our newest registered and revalidating members with a Profes- sional Registration “roll of honour” and be inspired by the announcement of the 2022 Honorary Fellows and Mentors of the Year. We Are CILIP, and we look forward to being together at the 2022 AGM and Celebration of the Profession.
CILIP Trustee and Vice-President elections 2022
AS a Chartered Institute, CILIP’s chari- table purpose is “to promote education and knowledge through the establish- ment and development of libraries and information services and to advance information science”. Our governance is led by a voluntary Board of Trustees and a Presidential Team, which includes a President and a Vice-President. Each year, we hold elections to invite people from across our community to take up these roles and to help shape the future of your professional body. In addition to seeking ‘ordinary’ Trustees, we are also seeking a New Professional Trustee (within the first five years of professional employment) to join the Board for a two- year term.
Who can stand for election? Candidates wishing to stand for elec- tion as Vice-President or as a Trustee must generally be an ordinary member
