Congr atulat ions to three Cal Aero Preserve Academy robot ics teams--The Firecrackers, I 'm a Ganome and The Jahbots--who qual i fied for and competed in the 2019 W or ld Robot ics Olympiad Nat ional Championship in August at Sunnyvale Chr ist ian School in Sunnyvale, CA! W orking as a team, students fol lowed a speci fic set of rules and requirements to bui ld a robot that could successful ly dr ive i tsel f and move objects to a designated area. Before each round, al l robots were met iculously inspected by a judge to assess i f they conformed to al l regulat ions stated. I f a violat ion was found, the team was given three minutes to conver t and cor rect the violat ion. Once the robot was given the green l ight , teams had two minutes to complete their chal lenge. Final ranking was awarded based on each team?s per formance over the course of several rounds. So how did our awesome Aviators do? The Firecrackers ranked 27th, I?m a Ganome ranked 42nd, and the Jahbots ranked 47th nat ional ly!
