JG Graves Woodland Discovery Centre

JG Graves Woodland Discovery Centre is set in the beautiful Ecclesall Woods. A woodland ceremony is all about getting back to nature and letting the peace and quiet of the woodland help to make your day very special!

You will have the choice of saying ‘I do’ inside the Sycamore Suite of the Discovery Centre (max 70 guests) or Hectors House (max 40 guests) or maybe you would prefer an outdoor blessing on the beautiful tiered lawn. You also have the option of holding a marquee based evening reception in the woods or on the lawn (up to 120 guests).

You and your guests may want to enjoy a stroll through the woods where the colour from the Bluebells that bloom in May and the backdrop of a variety of trees create a perfect setting for some stunning photographs.

The number of guests you may invite to your ceremony varies depending on which option you choose (please contact us for more details).

Afterwards you are welcome to serve your own refreshments on the decking or on the lawn. You can also have a blessing at the JG Graves Woodland Discovery Centre in Ecclesall Woods.

Weston Park Bandstand

Weston Park first opened to the general public in 1875, covering 5 hectares it was developed from the grounds of Weston Hall, a grand house built in the early 1800’s.

The Park is beautifully landscaped and perfect for wedding photographs with winding paths and trees scattered across grass lawns in an informal style. Many of the original features are still clearly visible and the park is home to Weston Park Museum, the oldest museum in the city.

The park contains 7 different grade II listed structures. The Bandstand, where your ceremony will take place, is the only surviving Victorian Bandstand in a Sheffield Park. It is listed by English Heritage and was designed in 1874. The bandstand, shelter and lake have all had recent restoration work including two replica rustic bridges that now stand over the lake.

You may invite up to 50 guests inside the band stand and up to 120 if you would prefer your guests to stand outside in the park

Other monuments in Weston Park include the statue of Ebenezer Elliot and the Godfrey Sykes memorial. Weston Park is located to the east of the city centre.
