We have a range of beautiful outdoor spaces where you can hold your reception or evening celebration for your special day.

Woodlands receptions require marquee hire and you will need to arrange your own catering and entertainment. You can contact the Ceremonies Co-ordinator for more information on what you need to know when hiring a marquee and planning an evening celebration in our Parks and Woodlands reception spaces.

Hillsborough Park

Hillsborough Park to the north of the city where the beautiful Hillsborough Hall was built, one of the few examples of large 18th century’s classical houses in Sheffield. The park retains many of its original features, including the grounds of the Hall, the tree belts lining the south and south east boundary, the ha-ha (a garden trench) to the south front of the hall and a walled garden.

Today’s facilities also include a car park, tennis courts, bowling greens, pavilion and children’s playground. Hillsborough Park has been recognised as having special significance in architectural and historic terms by its designation as a Conservation Area.

The park is on the local schedule of Historic Parks and Gardens and was designated a Heritage Park. Hillsborough Park has been the venue for a variety of popular events including the Sheffield Show and Royal Ballet performances.
